For those who may need a moment of tranquility, our unstaffed nursery serves as a dedicated quiet room available to anyone at any time during our services. This space is equipped for parents and children alike, and it also features a library filled with Christian books that you are welcome to borrow and take home. We strive to provide a sweet, supportive environment where every member of your family feels home.

2. Come On In
Someone from our church family will be there to greet you with a warm smile as you enter. You'll immediately see the sanctuary, and you are invited to have a seat anywhere you’d like. We suggest arriving about 10 minutes early so you can settle in and enjoy the fellowship before the service begins.
3. Worship With Us
A Traditional Service
Expect a reverent yet joyful service with congregational singing, Bible reading, and practical preaching from the King James Bible. We focus on scriptural teaching and natural fellowship. Most services last about 60 to 75 minutes.
What to Wear
You are welcome exactly as you are. Many of our men wear dress shirts and ties, and ladies often wear modest dresses or skirts, but our focus is entirely on worshipping the Lord together and growing closer to Him.
Your First Sunday at Anchor Baptist Church
Entering a new church can be uncertain, but we want you to feel right at home. At Anchor Baptist Church, your presence is truly valued, and we have created this simple guide for your first visit with us.
1. Easy Parking
When you arrive at 83 Chamberlain St, you'll find plenty of free street-side parking available right along Chamberlain Street. You are also welcome to use the Highland Day Services parking lot directly across the street. Our building is easy to find, and the main entrance is clearly visible.
Meet People
We invite you to stick around for a while after the final amen. This is a special time for our church family to fellowship, share our lives, and get to know one another better. We would love the opportunity to personally welcome you to our church family.
Families & Kids
We love having children of all ages participate in our services alongside their parents. As a family-integrated church, we believe it’s a blessing for children to watch their parents worship and learn to love the Lord together.
